Work Expectations
The ideal applicant must be able to undertake technical operations on simple and complex systems, as well as highly technical mechanical or diagnostic testing. They may have to work singly or in groups to diagnose, assess, repair, or maintain business products in accordance with SLAs or as demanded.
Duties
- Maintains tools in excellent working order, guarantees functionality, and ensures they are utilized correctly.
- Ensures spare parts are installed, replaced, and acquired under corporate standards and applicable rules and procedures.
- Diagnoses equipment (generator, vehicle, electrical components, etc.) maintenance needs based on scheduled and unforeseen needs
- Report any potential issues that may not be scheduled, and complete site maintenance reports of work completed with generator status to avoid preventable breakdowns.
- Performs routine maintenance and adjustments as requested, and reports any potential concerns that pose a high risk of failure or injury.
- Maintaining and installing intricate parts, using delicate equipment, and preparing infrastructure all have the potential to affect firm products and/or assets.
- Conduct routine maintenance work (changing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) to ensure vehicle functionality and lifetime.
- Schedule future maintenance appointments and instruct drivers on proper vehicle use.
- Repair or replace broken or defective parts and address difficulties (e.g., leaks).
- Provide precise estimates (cost, time, and effort) for a repair or maintenance project.
- Seeks ongoing improvement by keeping up with the latest technical and design-related trends and reports.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams on technical activities that require the participation of several team members to achieve effectiveness.
Qualifications
- A mechanical, electrical, or technical degree, or an engineering equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar function and sector.
- Demonstrated expertise as a car mechanic.
- Excellent grasp of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components.
- Working knowledge of car diagnostic systems and procedures.
- Capability to use diverse tools (e.g., pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g., lift).
- Readiness to take all necessary safety precautions to prevent accidents, toxic fluids, chemicals, etc.
