Job Expectations

The Damboa Logistics Officer reports to the Field Coordinator. He/she assists the Field Coordinator with all aspects of the base (office and guest house) operation, including:

  • Fleet management
  • Log Assistant, Drivers, and Guard Supervision,
  • Energy management provides equipment and stock management
  • Procurement, project team assistance, and field activity visits.
  • Monthly Logistic Reporting
  • Project Team Management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating logistical support services in coordination with the Base Log/Admin and Field Coordinator.
  • Ensure effective resource management (fleet, assets, and utilities).
  • Ensure proper weekly vehicle planning.
    Hire cars in partnership with drivers and car owners to ensure fleet vehicle repair and maintenance are completed on time.
  • Ensure that fuel usage is perfectly monitored for both the car and generator fleets.
  • When the vehicle is moved for maintenance and repair, he must remove the MDM visibility and reinstall it when the vehicle returns to the office.
  • Ensure that generators are repaired and maintained on time.
    Monitor fuel use for automobiles and generators.
  • Monitor local purchase of goods and services for the Base in accordance with MdM purchase procedures.
  • Determine the vehicle requirements for a base in relation to office activity.
  • Ensure the rehabilitation of the premises, clinic, and frequent inspections.
  • Ensure logistical participation in project and office location choices.
  • Ensure that communication tools are available for professional work (internet, phone, etc.).
  • Conduct logistics assessments in the field as needed in coordination with the Field Coordinator and Logistics Department, and provide support to the team on-site.
