The DoorDash Software Engineering Internship for 2024–2025 is now accepting applications. DoorDash is developing the most dependable instant logistics platform for delivery globally. To support them in building a round-the-clock worldwide infrastructure system that enables DoorDash’s three-sided marketplace of customers, merchants, and dashers, they are seeking experienced engineers to join their rapidly expanding engineering team. 

Product engineers at DoorDash work to improve the experiences of its dashers, merchants, and customers by establishing and overseeing technology solutions. They work hard to offer dependable, effective technology that excites their clients, from designing stunning, user-friendly flows to building scalable backend systems. 

They consider interns to be crucial to their goal of drawing in and keeping elite talent. The 12-week internship program for software engineers gives trainees the chance to develop, manage, and ship products while fully engaged in their teams. Working as an intern, will allow you have a direct impact on their business by working with your team to find solutions for actual customer issues. 

Any of Doordash office in one of the following cities will host the 2025 internship program in person: New York, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Los Angeles, or Seattle. During the application process, you will be able to choose the place or location that you like.

– work with your manager, mentor, and team members to create, maintain, and ship technical parts. 

– implement response based on your mentor’s and your team members’ coaching, mentoring, and feedback.

– engage in both virtual and in-person internship programming, leadership lecture series, and social events. 

– at the conclusion of the internship, give a final presentation on the lessons you learned throughout the summer.

Payment 

The internship lasts for twelve weeks. Starting salary for interns will be within the $2,200 weekly wage range; this will depend on a variety of job-related criteria, such as market conditions, work location, and level of education. 

Eligibility 

– You have no more than two years of full-time employment experience, are pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in computer science, or an equivalent degree, and will graduate between the fall of 2025 and the summer of 2026. You can begin your internship in May or June 2025 (internships are hosted in the summer only). 

– You’ve worked with databases in the past, such as AWS, SQL, etc. 

– You are well-versed in data structures and algorithms. 

– You have garnered enough experience and mastery with at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, Kotlin, etc.). 

– You’ve done unit testing, version control work, and clean code writing before. 

These also might be helpful even though they are not required, 

– a minimum of one internship in software engineering prior to or comparable relevant experience. 

– the capacity to evaluate and enhance the stability, scalability, and efficiency of different systems. 

– eager to create, launch, and manage extensive web applications. 

– knowledge of solving technological issues instantaneously. 

– expertise in system design, creating APIs, and service-oriented architecture. 

– involvement in technical work related to projects or research, hackathons, technical conferences, technical organization, leadership positions in on-campus student organizations, technical teaching assistant positions, pertinent extracurricular activities, or other technical expertise.
